Mission
Connect business owners and potential business owners with the resources that can help them build sustainable business models that are scalable and serve a wide or narrow base of customers.
I want you to be able to free up your time and increase your productivity.
I’m going to help you do this by recommending workshops, books, DVD’s , and online resources that will help propel your business to the next level.
Why? You’re going to need the time to get involved and change the status quo.
Purpose and Vision
This is the place where small business and politics collide. It is safe to say that small business is under attack from big government and big corporations. The “status quo” is killing innovation and big government and big corporations are the poster children for the status quo. Innovation is the catalyst for productivity and productivity drives your business and any economy.
It is time to end the “Too big to fail mentality”. Has anyone knocked on your door to offer you a bailout? Of course not, and most of you weren’t asking for one.
Brent S. , a successful business owner in Michigan sums it up
‘I don’t know if I can sum it up in a few short words but I can share some feelings about the idea. First of all I think small business owners are the essence of capitalism.
These are people that have typically risked everything they have for a dream of not only creating a high quality of life for themselves but I truly believe that most small business owners such as myself have a desire to contribute to society by making other people’s lives better as well. Whether it’s by creating a new product or service that improves people’s lives or simply offering more options or lowering costs for existing goods and services.
Small business owners also love creating jobs. Small business owners are typically looking to hire people and expand where their larger cousins will lay off 1,000 workers at the drop of a hat if they think it will help their stock price. (UPS for example.)
I think small business’ are the most efficient business’ in a lot of ways as well because they have to be. When you own a small business you have to get “bang for your buck” which is almost the exact opposite of what you see sometimes from larger companies and for sure the Federal Government.
That’s why if we shrink the size and scope of the Federal Government while at the same time increasing incentives for small business to expand and new ones to spring up, we as a society become more efficient and effective. I hope this helps.”
I look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you that are on this path.
